      Yes, you need a sponsorship to get a visa.

      Unless you have connections, or you're Japanese is really good to start with it's tough to get a position in a specialized field.

      To get their foot in the door, most people start out by getting sponsored by working for a language school or something like that.

      In your spare time you can work on what you like, and when you're ready, try to work in your field.
