    • Imran, I'll just quote some of the Rules for this forum and leave it at that:
Any posts deemed to be self promotion, advertising, or spam can and will be removed. NO SPAM - NO ADVERTISING eg. Posting and making excessive, inappropriate and unnecessary references to your products and websites is self promotion.

      Full rules are here:

      www.rockettheme.com/forum/index.php?f=2&t=2702&rb_v=viewtopic

If someone else wants to suggest products that's fine, but it's just bad form to recommend your own products and services on this forum. These are the same rules as on joomla.org, it works well there to keep the flame wars down, and has worked well here also. This is a general rule we have for these forums, although there are special cases for people to show off their sites in the showcase forum, post and reply to requests in the requests forum, and developers are able to post and reply to service/help requests in the marketplace forum. The general forum rules apply for everywhere else.

      Cheers.

    • Hey Andy
It is only obvious that spamming or marketing was not my motive. I am kind of unsure why you guys see it like that.

As I told Ben, I came here with a genuine will to help people out. But it doesn't seem that I will be allowed to do that easily.

I think I already have a lot to do in life. I shall not be posting on these forums unless and until I have some issues with an RT Template.

I too would like to leave it at that!

The cool thing about JomSocial is that it uses Joomla's core tables without any hacks. What this means is that it doesn't really matter what you use to login or sync users, if you're logged in, you're logged in.

Anything that syncs more than just the login info is going to be an extra plugin that doesn't deal with either RokBridge or JFusion. It will be an extra JomSocial plugin on it's own. JomSocial is still growing and there is a lot of demand over there for phpBB3 plugins so I would think you'll see more of that soon.

    • i just installed rokbridge, and having some issues with the setting. bridge path and phbb3 path

i set bridge path to forums, as in that is the folder under my joomla installation like so
joomla/forums, and i also set phbb3 path to forums, as that is the installation of the phbb3 path, am i doin something wrong, i tried diffrnt ways setting paths, i also tried setting bridge path to my joomla website folder, and phbb3 path to forums as that is where i installed phbb3 files stored, hit saved, and it looked like it went through with success, i tested by going into menu manager, and menuite as rokbridge, cause am assume, if i set it to rokbridge menu item, and calld it forums, it will redirect it to the forums folder where i have phbb3 installed. but this did not work when i click on forums on the frontend, and it just redirect me back to my main frontpage, everytime i click on forums am i doin something wrong here. with the settingsl.

oka looks like i got the settings working now, i added
      public_html/joomlafolder to bridge path and
      forums to phbb3 path

and everything looks right when i hit save, and askd me to intall the auth plugin and path, did so, and went back to menu manager made an external link to the folder like so, www.website.com/forums but still redirecting to my frontend and not the forums folder

    • Hi XtraHype,
Maybe it is smart to post this over at rocketwerx.com in the rokbridge forum and take a look over there. There is a heap of information on the forum there for rokbridge.
