    IE7 Problems

    Posted 16 years 2 months ago
    • Again, another thread completely ignored in the Replicant2 forum.

      I've got two problems with this template and IE7 that seems to be coming into play.

      I have provided a side by side comparison on IE7 and FF3. IE on left, FF on right.
      The page displayed in a wrapper page, linked to a form. The module background color is not showing up on IE7, but it is on FF3.

      Also, if you look at the top of the page on IE7. you will see reddish bar that comes down and covers part of the background image. but it is not on FF3. What is it and how do I get rid of it.

    • My apologies. I thought that the screen shot I supplied would have been enough.

      website: www.cgsart.com/v5.0

      Both problems have been confirmed on IE7 on multiple computers at multiple locations.

      Problem 1)
      Problem 1 pertains to the Contact Us page. The Contact Us page is a wrapper page that is linked to the form that we use. In IE7 the background of the wrapper page does not compute. Instead of the selected background color (which matched the surrounding screen) the background appears as white. In FF, this problem does not exist. The background color is the appropriate color.

      Problem 2)
      Problem 2 pertains to the website as a whole. In IE 7 there is some sort of black colored bar that sticks down about 10px from the top of the page that covers up the background image. It does not interfere with the rest of the design, just the background image. This problem does not exist in FF.

      Please again see the following link for screen shot examples of IE7 vs. FF. The circle at the top of the page shows the bar that comes down. And then you can also see the absence of background color on the Contact Us page wrapper.

    • How about adding this:

      #body-bg {colorstyle4.css (line 11)
      background:#000000 url(../images/style4/bg.jpg) no-repeat scroll 50% 0;
      margin-top:-10px !important;
      }

    • Well that did create a temporary solution to the colord bar at the top of the page (Problem 2), but did not explain why it happened. Thank You.
