Greetings, I am trying to upload Rockcandy & Rockslideshow into Versatility 4 template Joomla 1.5
I keep getting error (Warning Failed to Move File) I have checked my Permissions, seems to be set with 777

Hi Steve,
Try enabling the FTP functionality in Joomla. There are more than likely several directories (and directories above those) which need to have permissions set for them - but the FTP may circumvent the problem for you. - Ragdata's Rubber Duck

Greetings, I enabled ftp upload in the system global configuration, now i get this error, An Error has occurred! Unable to open configuration.php file to write!

- Not surprised really - this is directly related to your initial problem. Ultimately, it's a problem concerning file ownership (which the FTP option can usually circumvent). Use a sledgehammer and TEMPORARILY chmod your configuration.php file to 777 so that you can write the data, and IMMEDIATELY chmod it back to 644 (or 444 if you've gone live).

sledgehammer Broken, still can not get files uploaded, do I need to change file extension, to other than zip? rockcandy and rockslideshow I have downloaded three times each, just in case the files corrupted on download, Have contacted my hosting support and they say I have all the relevant permissions aaaggghhh

Hahahaha I always said Australians had English Brains, heheheh Ragadata I cracked it mate, was in system config, I checked on the ftp yes, then save, first time it must have jumped back to no, i went to check again and now it works and got the mods uploaded, thanx mate, I have 4 Australian visitors here this week, they looking to buy some land for retirement homes, I hope the ecconomy is not hurting you m8, have a great day and speak soon, I owe you again thanx
