Add Joomla login to HTML site?

    • Tried getting help with this on Joomla.org but got nothing so far. Hope you guys can help. I have this site I am working on.

      http://bigspaces.com/ratesongs/default.html

As you see there is a login box at the top left. I need this login box to allow the user to login to the Joomla database. However, this is not a Joomla site.

I have installed Joomla on the domain, have the database and everything setup, but now I need to connect my HTML page to the Joomla backend.

There are only two features of Joomla I wish to take advantage of...the registration and the login. There will be no dynamic content, no new articles, etc.

Where would be the best place for me to start? How do I convert this HTML page into a Joomla front page in order to use the login? I don't need the Joomla menus or anything...only the login.

In exchange for help I can give the source file for the ranking system you see on that page, or the page curl animation source. Whatever you want.

    • Ok, after about 12 hours of trial and error I have accomplished 99% of what I want.

      http://www.bigspaces.com

The login in the upper right works fine.

My only problem now is that when I hit "register" it doesn't load the register page. Do I need to add something back into my index.php page? Is it possible to have the register button take the user to the community builder registration page?

      Any ideas?
