did you pm your admin details to arifin? i believe this is a joomla core issue and has nothing to do with the template itself. so if we offer to help, please provide the necessary info.

- Hi Kat - yes I did PM my details through to Arifin. Yesterday midday at some point. I realise that it can easily be a joomla issue but wasn't sure - was just hoping to find an answer - (anywhere!) Have posted on Joomla forums too but to date only a suggestion to look into CHMOD which i have - ad infinitum

Sorry, midday in your time was midnight in my time.
I tried to reupload all the files via the ftp you provided too, and it seems still can't solve the problem. Like I and Kat have mentioned, this is not the template issue at all and if this problem is really easy, you will for sure get the answer soon. I check you are using the latest Joomla 1.5.15. Did the same problem occur on your previous version? I found a thread forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?f=199&t=423984&start=30 but it's with php 5.2 while yours is 5.29
Please trust us, that we are here trying to help, but if the problem is unique and not related with the template at all, please be a patient and don't give us stress that makes the brain got stuck on the pressure
I hope other people have another idea too.

To anyone and everyone who might have been following this and may have a similar problem situation has been resolved.
I did three things - removed any and ALL plugins to completely naked install including jcomments which had either been corrupted or conflicted with something else I'd installed as this was featured heavily in my error logs
I changed my ftp programme - deleted absolutely everything off the server
and finally I did a complete database restore to two days before (can't recommend the joomlapack software enough! Complete live savers!!!!) and then started again.
What of any of those problems was the main culprit I don't know but when I did only one of those the issue wasn't solved.
