Use of MissionControl leads to Hard Reboot of Server

For whatever reason (which we have been unable to determine), whenever we attempt to login into the admin panel while Mission Control 1.5.3 is active in our Joomla 1.5.23 site (on a dedicated server at Rochen), the server locks up, chewing through its resources, and has to be restarted. This happens on every admin login attempt, and is a real pain, since we then have to restart the server and many server processes related to other sites on the server (shoutcast, etc). Thus, we have had to stop using this lovely template.
