Menu Parameters being "cleaned" = broken

I use GCalendar. The upcoming events module has a parameter for formatting the event list output.
It is supposed to look like this:However, after I save it in Mission Control it wrecks the link:<a href="{backlink}"><b>{title}</b></a><br> {starttime} {dateseparator} {endtime}<a href="%7Bbacklink%7D"><b>{title}</b></a><br> {starttime} {dateseparator} {endtime}
When I save the params in the normal admin template, it works fine.
Is there some sort of work-around? - "The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person doing it."

Hmm... i'm not sure what this could be. We don't do anything with the actual components in Joomla at all. This is just a template after all. What version of MC are you using? What version of Joomla? What version of GCalendar?
I'll have to try to recreate this in order to debug it.

I realize the first answer is update everything to the latest version.
Joomla 1.5.25...or eventually 2.5.x
GCalendar: No more 1.5 versions
Mission Control: No more 1.5 versions
We are rebuilding a large custom component for 2.5 so we're stuck in 1.5 until we get that done.
I would be happy to provide a test instance with FTP access and super admin access if that would help. I appreciate your time, and I want to use as little of it as possible. - "The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person doing it."

- ah yes, we stopped supporting MissionControl for Joomla 1.5 quite a while ago. I suggest if you are having problems to use the default admin template until you can upgrade to 2.5.
