Feature Request: Partial Blacklisting / Retain MC Navigation
Posted 13 years 2 months ago
Hi there,
We're currently trying to decide whether to roll out J!2.5 sites with Bluestork or MC. MC looks much cleaner and less confusing for the general user than Bluestork (especially when editing articles) but the less predictable layouting for 3rd Party Extensions is a bit of a problem.
I understand there's the option to blacklist certain extensions and set them to use Bluestork instead.
This is great to restore functionality, but it also adds back in a point of confusion for clients when the layout (especially the menu navigation) changes.
This may be a pipe dream depending on how J!2.5 templating works (appears a bit Mr Potato Head here), but is it possible to change extension blacklisting to behave like this?:
- Extension is blacklisted (eg, AcyMailing)
- When the user then goes to the AcyMailing CP, the Mission Control menu is still shown, but everything under the MC header uses BlueStork. (see attachment)
This way the 3rd party extension works with their layout, while the end user still has the same Joomla Admin navigation throughout the entire site rather than sometimes having MC's and sometimes haing Bluestork's.
If the blacklist behaviour could be changed so it's like the screencapture ... that'd seal the deal on our decision to use MC on all our future 2.5's.
