Site Stats / Tracking not working properly?

Posted 13 years 1 month ago
    • Hi,

We are using Mission control 2.5 on a clients site, but the statistics have been wrong since the first version... We have a separate html counter in place to double check, and the stats are completely wrong.... TOO high...
We have removed and re-installed the new mission control, but the stats are not reset

      1. how do I reset the count to zero to monitor it again.
      2. Why would the stats and counts be wrong?

      Thanks

    • Just because your HTML counter doesn't match doesn't mean they are not right :)

The stats are based on active joomla sessions so if you have your session count set to 60minutes, the stats will reflect any user that was on in the last 60 minutes. Your HTML stat counter is going to have it's own way to track with it's own 'session' time. So these are unlikely to match.

We're adding a new feature to reset the stats data in the next release of MissionControl.
