    general joomla question

Posted 13 years 7 months ago
    • hopefully it is ok to post this here in this section.

I have a problem i have yet to ever find a fix for in some of the joomla sites I have made.

When you decide not to use the "article" on the "front page" of a joomla template and just some modules, the template always leaves a place for the article to go.

      example here: http://www.ksbulksalt.com

There is a small empty box below the content top-a section. Will joomla let me get rid of that empty box? If so where would I do such a thing? Is there a setting or do I have to do some code fixing.

      Any help is appreciated.

      Thank you.

    • try to disable "display component" in the template settings.
The menu item must be of the type "featured" to make this work ...

    • Awesome man! that worked. :D

Can you think of why it would take my "home page" so long to load now that I have done that? It loads really slowwwwww... now.

eta: I turned it off and on again and it seems to be loading faster..
