joomla 2.5 + migrating from 1.5 + rocket launch bundles

I would like to hear from other joomla users and their opinions on what they think about the upcoming joomla 2.5 set to be released in March 2012.
In particular, I want to also hear from those who have migrated their joomla 1.5 to 1.7.
The reason I want to hear others' opinions is because I have had a difficult time trying to migrate 1.5 - 1.7 so much so, that I decided to give up on that and wait for joomla 2.5 since that will be a LTR - it will have a long life span.
I am seeking opinions as to whether joomla 2.5 will include a seamless way to migrate from 1.5.
From what I've gathered in the joomla forums, migrating from 1.7 to 2.5 will be quite seamless. But that doesn't help me as I am looking for suggestions for the easiest way to migrate from 1.5.
Questions to incite dialogue:
Will it be easier to migrate if I wait for joomla 2.5 or is migrating from joomla 1.5 to any future version a manual process any way you cut it?
The clearest way to migrate the users table of community builder is by using CBJuice. Do any community Builder users have any suggestions about migrating?
How come Rocketthemes does not create 'rocket launch' bundles for joomla 1.7?
Will RocketThemes begin creating 'rocket launch' bundles for joomla 2.5?

How come Rocketthemes does not create 'rocket launch' bundles for joomla 1.7?
RT already does provide Rocketlaunchers for 1.7 starting from Juli (Reflex) ...
