Everything was fine now on my front (home) page articles show up but none of the other modules I have assigned to diffrent positions below the menu show. If I use the ?tp=1 the module positions show but none of the modules I have assigned to those positions show. The only thing I have changed in the last few days was upgrade Phoca Download to version 1.2.2 which I wouldn't think would affect the front page. I tried switching to stock Joomla templates and the same problem. Any help would be appreciated.
Ok well after turning on and off every module I had on the front page, disableing and renableing every plugin, overrighting everyfile with a fresh copy of 1.5.14 I still had the same problem. I then disabled 2 articles I had set to show on the front page everything showed back up, left column, right column, advert1 and user 1-7 modules all showed up again. I can't figure out what broke and the frontpage just would show those articles and not show anything else below search. So my short term fix was to create a new catergory for the articles (top story) and post them using mod_newsflash in user position 2. Hopefully over the weekend I'll get some more time to dig deeper into this and see what I can find.
Thanks for the suggestion but that wasn't it. When I was displaying just about any article with the "Display on Front Page" check mark it seemed the article took over the whole front page not allowing any other module to display. When I take the same article and uncheck the "Display on Front Page" mark and instead display in a module everything is fine. If it wasn't our clubs most important time of the year I would do a clean install of the site but that will have to wait till after Halloween.
