"Skip" Page and Google PR

Strange question, but was thinking of adding one of those 'skip' ad pages to an important page of one of my sites...shows a modal popup thing-a-ma-bob to guests...the only that shows an ad before the real page is compiled, then redirects to the page.
Then i got to thinking - I wonder how this will impact the pagerank, indexing, and Mr. G (google).
Any thoughts?
I could envision the bots seeing the skip page, but still assumes it's the original URL/page, and kills my PR and doesn't wait around for the "skip," if that makes any sense.
Maybe a popup is better, though I really hate them....
