Two Forums on One Site?

I'm building a site for a Christian motorcycle club. The club is for both men and women, but the ladies want to have their own area of the site too. We're naming it 'The Ladies Room'. After they register, I am moving the ladies up to the Author level for that area. The men will remain simply Registered. The menu button to The Ladies Room will have Author access, so men won't see it.
QUESTION: Am I able to have two separate forums on the same site? If so, how?

I don't think you want 'two forums' on your site.
Seems as though you are headed in the right direction but I don't think you have to give them Author status to do so.
In the admin panel you can set up user groups and add access to different areas of your forum for members of the group(s).
Check the phpBB3 documentation, it's fairly straightforward. - Thanks,
