    WordPress Subscriptions and Gantry 5

Posted 8 years 9 months ago
    • Late last month, we shared news about the upcoming release of the first Gantry 5 theme(s) for WordPress. Our team has been working tirelessly to make this happen, and as can happen with any new software development, we came across a few obstacles that need to be sorted before we can confidently release a premium theme.

One of these objectives was to complete any required bugfixes and feature additions and get Gantry 5 out of a release candidate state. While the first three release candidates for Gantry 5 were production ready, we wanted to make sure that we got the first full release out the door (including testing) before shifting our focus to another major platform.

We accomplished this goal last week, and are now focused on optimizing Gantry 5 for WordPress. A lot of the work has already been done, as Gantry 5 was built from day one to be cross-platform compatible.

Our current goal is to make sure that themes built on Gantry 5 not only work with WordPress, but do so as seamlessly as possible both on the front end and within the administrator. Because WordPress and Joomla are so vastly different, there are a lot of bits and pieces we need to develop, test, and create solutions for.

The good news is that progress is happening, and we are on track to making Gantry 5 the smoothest, most user-friendly framework for WordPress out there.

What about our existing subscribers? Last month we extended all of our active WordPress Club subscribers' subscriptions by an additional month. We have decided to extend this yet again, which means that you will now have two additional months added to your existing subscription plan at no additional cost. This additional month should appear in your account during this week.

We want to thank everyone for their patience as Gantry 5 development continues. It is our intention to be as transparent as possible as to where we are in development, and what users can expect from Gantry 5 and WordPress.

You can stay updated with Gantry 5 development and any new changes as they are committed to the official GitHub project . You can also chat with our development team and other Gantry 5 users in the Gitter chat , as well as receive development updates from the team on the official Gantry Dev Blog .
    • The following users have thanked you: Matt
