    • Nice!
Would be cool to see this as a seamless addon for Joomla and RT templates.

Nice to read up on some of the details and ramblings of the Dynamic Duo... :)

    • Greatness, I for one am very eager to learn a bit more on your work process. I hope you are all willing to let us in on some parts of the templating workflow, and help us understand and know how to customize your templates, rather than keeping it to yourself to secure your business - I really think the quality of your work is more than enough to keep you guys occupied for a long, long time. It would be great to see some posts on the graphic-work (it's interesting how you seem to use Fireworks over Photoshop for a lot of things, any special reasons?), and especially where you start working on a functional html+css copy of the work, is it after everything is finished in the graphic application, midway through, or what?

I'll be anticipating the posts with great excitement, thanks for a valued addition to RT! 8)

@ Joseph: FYI, it seems that this blog is a standalone Wordpress install, not connected to Joomla in any way, but disregard this if you were infact requesting that RT make Wordpress templates. I would prefer SMF club remain open though, but please, always put Joomla first ;)

This is one thing that I really want to do more of and plan to include in the blog as often as I can. It's my goal to start posting graphic design tutorial, walkthoughs, and tidbits as I work through various projects. I really enjoy doing graphic work and think it would be great to share some of the stuff I do with everyone. There isn't a whole lot that is "top secret" about what I do graphically, as most of it is pretty simple stuff and can always be viewed in the source png files of the templates, and sharing a lot of this stuff will only make Rockettheme templates and the web better for everyone as they take what they learn to the next level and create some awesome website designs and artwork! Of course, there may be one or two tricks I'll probably keep to myself ;)

I also want to really focus on my workflow with Fireworks and how much it has greatly improved my design process, I recently moved from Photoshop to Fireworks for web layout and design work about 6 months ago and haven't looked back. I think a lot of designers would really benefit from learning and using Fireworks.

So stay tuned, I'll do my best to start putting some fun and interesting graphic stuff up there as soon as I can :)

Don't do that. All that time spent blogging you could be making bonus templates. 8)

Seriously, nice blog. Looking forward to reading about the upcoming e-commerce templates you are planning on.

    • There is an extension that squishes wordpress into joomla. you can find it on the extensions.joomla.org site. i can't recall the name.

The rockettheme blog isn't "intergrated" into joomla... it is a seperate standalone install on the same server but under the blog.rockettheme.com subdomain and linked to (simple url link) from the joomla menu.**or so it seems to me**

    • Andy: How did you do that "Love is a snowmobile racing across the tundra and then suddenly it flips over, pinning you underneath. At night, the ice weasels come" quote at the top of your WP blog?
