  • Duplicating and copying modules positions to a new site

    • Hi, do you know which file/files I would need to copy over to a new site I'm building to reproduce the module layout?

      I'm using the same theme but I want to quickly duplicate the module layout.

      Any ideas?

    • Joomla consists of two major components, the files and the database.

      So there's really no way to copy the files from one site to the next and have it display properly as all the info for what gets published where along with the content is stored in the database, so it requires duplicating / moving both.

      We recommend Akeeba Backup to quickly copy and move your entire site from one location (localhost / server) to the next.
