SEF on Zeus server

  • SEF on Zeus server

    • Hi
      Using Crystalline template, Joomla 1.5.18, Namesco webhosting, Zeus webserver (so no mod_rewrite but uses rewrite.script)
      There are a number of posts on Joomla forum with similar issue but various solutions do not work.
      Issue is - with rewrite.script enabled and SEF configured in Joomla (inc mod_rewrite=Yes) the homepage is ok but all others have no css.
      Does anyone have any experience of this setup and issue? Have some advice that the lack of css is due to template using relative referencing rather than absolute referencing.

      But the main issue is getting SEF to work correctly on Zeus rather than Apache (the lack of css may well be a by-product of a issue with the rewrite.script)

      Any help/guidance much appreciated.

    • I can't give you a good solution, but I think you might want to consider to move to another webserver that is using Apache like Joomla recommends here . You might want to check this solution too

    • Thanks for the response. Changing webhosts isnt an option unfortunately. Whilst Joomla is recommended to be run on Apache I know there are a large number of sites out there that are running on Zeus successfully.
      The post was just a thought to see if anyone within the RocketTheme community had some experience of this.

      The Zeus script in your link looks very similiar to some I have looked at.
