IE Display Problem

Hello,
I am nearly finished with my new website, but have a couple of small bugs that are hanging it up from being called 100% completed.
First off, the website was built using Joomla! 1.5 and RocketTheme's Reaction template. I strictly use Firefox and Safari for my browsers, so I didn't realize the problem until after I unveiled it. The site works great with Firefox and Safari both, but when it is visited by an IE computer two of my pages are not working properly. Both pages are a child under the same Main Menu entity and both have a slightly different problem. The first page has no photo or text, and the second page has a photo but no text when viewed with Internet Explorer. If you view the site with Safari or Firefox it looks perfect.
Secondly, my site has the standard contact form that was delivered OTB from RocketTheme. I configured my contacts info on the back end and successfully published it where the forum displays the correct information. However, I have been getting countless SMTP mail errors saying "SMTP Error! Could not connect to SMTP host". I have reconfigured my global preferences to no SSL, with SSL, 465, 87, 25 ports and TTL. I don't understand why it's not working. I tested this same template on another one of my domains, and it worked charms, but I can't get it on this domain for anything. I have two email accounts, either of which I would be content to use. One is ran by Google Apps and the other one is GoDaddy hosted email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. style.
Thirdly, when the site is search under Google it still says "Joomla! - the dynamic portal engine and content management system" instead of my greeting message (which I have already input into the Global Configuration settings). I'm not sure why it hasn't updated yet.
Any help/suggestions would be much appreciated

For the images/text not rendering correctly in IE...you need to remove the Microsoft Word code. You cannot paste code from MS as it will cause issues with Joomla and IE.
