Error 500 - Internal server error when uploading template
Posted 14 years 6 months ago
This is the first time I install a Joomla website.
When I attempt to upload and install the bundle file for "Crystaline" an error message appear:
Error 500 - Internal server error
An internal server error has occured!
Please try again later.
The Joomla site that I have is v1.5.15 Stable, the PHP is v5.2.14, Server Apache is a shared one in host "
www.1and1.com
".
I called "1and1" asking for the server error log location. They told me that it is not available for the customers and after asking me for the FTP password he let me know that my template needs to many resources and that is because the server is shared.
What is your opinion what do you recommend?..... Do I change hosting company or move to a dedicated server?....or there is a solution for this?(without changes)
Thank you
Your template is amazing I already tested it in a localhost.

You should first compare a working page against a non-working one to see what is differing in the code. You can also try to check the PHP logs to see if it's related to that.
If you don't find anything, contact your webhost.
Please reply with a direct link to the issue & create a new thread for each new issue.
