  • Registration Security Form?

    • I am looking for a component / plugin .... anything that will protect me from spammers on my site. I have tried several ones around Joomla Extensions, and none of them show up on my Registration Form ... is it different in the Solar Sentinel template? Any help is greatly appreciated.

    • Not sure if you're looking for relief from spam email or spam registrations.

I've been really happy with this extension for stopping spam registrations...

      AJAX Register

It can use re-Captcha and has proven itself for me.

    • Will AJAX Register work on the Mynxx template? I can't find a single captcha widget that seems to show up on the registration page. And Ajax Register costs a couple dollars.

    • I haven't installed AJAX Register on mynxx, but it has worked fine for me on other templates here at RocketTheme. I've been happy with my purchase there and the only spam I've had on it actually turned out to be a real person from here wanting to test it out. So it does it's job really well agains bots.

I'm also very happy with the way it just integrates with the core Joomla register feature and it's not trying to replace it.

    • Yes, this has worked just fine with RokBridge!

Just make sure that you've redirected your registration links for phpBB3 over to the Joomla registration page and disabled registration in the phpBB3 backend.
