problem installing Maelstrom

Hello,
- When installing "rt_maelstrom_j15-bundle.zip" i get this error:
Cannot make static method JInstaller::getInstance() non static in class RokInstaller in /opt/lampp/htdocs/administrator/components/com_rocketthememaelstromtemplateforjoomlabundle/installer/lib/RokInstaller.php on line 227
what could this be?
double checked my permissions - and all is ok?

- Are you trying to install this on Joomla 1.6? If so, you need to wait until the template conversions are ready.
- Please reply with a direct link to the issue & create a new thread for each new issue.

Hello,
- yes testing from the latest Joomla - just downloaded it.
- How long will that conversion take? or should i downgrade Joomla i mean?

Another question / or problem - installed the full package of rt_maelstrom_j15-rocketlauncher.zip on a Joomla 1.5.22.
Everything with the installation wen well.
but when editing the template i get this error:
The parameter file /templates/rt_maelstrom_j15/params.ini is writable!
Warning: file_put_contents(/opt/lampp/htdocs/templates/rt_maelstrom_j15/custom/gantry_version) [function.file-put-contents]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /opt/lampp/htdocs/components/com_gantry/core/gantryini.class.php on line 124
What have i missed here?
