I have noticed when navigating through my site that sometimes as the page loads a long list of SPAM links appears for a few seconds. I have examined the source code for the page and find a list of SPAM links has been added to the code for the page. My site is
http://www.mallorycommunicationsinc.com
. If you open it in the browser and select "view source code" you can see the list of links I mentioned. Has anyone seen this before and can anyone advise me how to find the source of the problem and clean it up? Thanks for any help anyone can offer.
It is likely that hackers found a way through an old extension and then edited your index.php for the template. That is just a guess - not definitive :cheesy:
If it is the index.php then cleaning it up will remove the links.
I notice you are running rokzoom which is really old now as it was superseded by RokBox. It is also important to keep your Joomla version updated as hackers target the older versions where know security risks have been found.
I have used a product called OSE Security and that has helped reduce attempts by hackers as their IP gets banned. After a while they take the site off the list and pester someone else.
Hope this helps
