    • Well, I confirmed with my local installation that the problem could be with the version of PHP that comes with XAMPP 1.7.4.

      My suggestion would be to install XAMPP version 1.7.1 which includes PHP version 5.2.8. With that version RT package installs perfectly well

    • Hi Jem & Igor,

      I can now confirm that my RL installation of Maelstrom is now working fine including the sample data.

      As you suggested I removed XAMPP 1.7.4 and replaced it with version 1.7.1 which has PHP 5.3.5 after which the installation was successful.

      Thank you both for your kind assistance. I will now have a play with Maelstrom!!
