Hi,
I've been using Joomla for a while but havent been to concerned about security till now. The site I am managing is just a biograhy site of an architect.
Over the last two months I have been finding malicious scripts that slow down my site and in my articles. I've been pretty good at stripping them from the site and they havents returned. However
I am finding unauthorized users registering and making it impossible for me to work on the site.
Beside the permissions issue, is there some rockettheme or general security feature I can turn on or off
to stop this? Or even an extension you could suggest I use. My site is: www.wmclam.com , I am using Nebulae.

Generally speaking, templates are not a way for a hacker to gain access to your site and do damage.
Much like the paint job on your car won't affect how the door locks work, templates are pretty much a 'skin' that fits over the Joomla core and won't affect your overall security.
Security breaches fall into 3 categories, something wrong with the core (which is patched regularly), a 3rd party component that has a security hole, and server settings.
So, you need to make sure your Joomla version is up to date, along with your 3rd party components.
And, if you have done so, check your server security settings (or report any malicious activity to your host.)
