Panacea : impossible to use SEF

Posted 13 years 9 months ago
    • Hello

In a new website built with Panacea, when I use the SEF fonction of Joomla, with or without SH404SEF, after a few clics, images disappear in articles. The links are like : images/stories/image.jpg

I have links to the same articles in the sub-top menu (mainmenu) and the left menu. I think the problem comes from there. But I don't know how to repare it.

      An idea ?

    • Not sure without having a look, but I only ever experience problems with SEF when its incompatible with an extension. Have you installed any new extensions, or is it straight out of the box?

    • The added extensions :

Component Rockcandy (I don't know how to use it)
Module Rocknavmenu (makes 2 identical topmenus when activated)
      Added plugs in :
      Tabs & slides + Allvideos ( Joomlaworks)
      Content rockbox (disactivated)
      Simple Image Gallery Pro (Joomlaworks)
      Button - Rockcandy
      Rocknavmenu boost
      Rocknavmenu - Extended link
      System - Rockcandy
      System - Rockbox

I know, some extensions are in double (Allvideos + simple image gallery & Rockbox ).

To avoid the problem I had with links to the images, today I unpublished the links in the sub-mainmenu, because visitors can find them in the leftmenu. Now it works.

    • You could try disabling the non-RT extensions to see if one is causing the conflict, if it is re-enable one at a time to drill down to the offender.

Well done to you for find a work-around. :D
