I've decided to host my next site on Hostgator because I read somewhere in this forum that many developers here use them.
I am having no luck because even though the initial installation (either manually or using their fantastico installer) goes well along with installing Gantry (I've also tried the bundled packages).
I upload and successfully install a stand alone RT template. All works well. I then try to install a second stand alone RT template and get a JFolder::create: Could not create directory error.
I've tried modifying the tmp path and even installing Joomla into a folder named JFolder (as suggested by Hostgator support). None of that worked.
I've since cleared out the public_html directory to start fresh.
I am hoping that since so many people here use Host Gator, they may be able to suggest a fix.
This may be a newbie observation here, but I have a site hosted on 1and1 and could not find a JFoler directory. Maybe I missed it.
