How to best build the new website on hosting account

    • Hello,
I just became a member by purchasing the single site license for $50 for two months. I have an existing html site that is hosted by godaddy which is hosting www.mycompany.com ( our domain name). I don't want to effect the existing html site, but want to install the template and once I have it all ready, I will get rid of the html site data. Not sure what the best way is to do this.

On the other hand, I have another godaddy hosting account that I use for testing, but it is associated with another domain name ( i.e www.testmycompany.com ). I was thinking of using this test hosting account and the associated test account to build the next site and than just point our domain name to this account once I am done. Would there by any issues with Joomla or the template if take this approach? I though it would since my RocketThem is a single domain name membership.

      Thank you for your help,

    • you can create a subdomain like dev.yourcompany.com
create the joomla site there and then use Akeeba Backup to make backup that can then be deployed on your main hosting account.

      Akeebabackup.com
