Demo Items do not show up after Rocketluncher install

Hello,
I installed Joomla 1.7 on my Godaddy account and then installed the the Modulus template. Once that was done I used FTP software to upload the Rucketluncher files for the template to the root folder of hosting account ( html folder). We I go to few the site, the only think that I see is the top menu bar without any menu items and the template does not appear as the Modulus demo on the RocketThem webiste. I also do no see any of the integrated Extensions.
Also, Should I have just uploaded the Rocketluncher files using FTP and skipped installing the template? Is my order wrong( should I have ftp the files first and then install the template?)

OK here is where you went wrong:
1) Godaddy (not your friend) but not the end of the world.
2) The method you used to install the Rocket Launcher was not correct.
Here is where you went riight:
1) you posted in the forum after having the issue.
Here is what you need to do:
1) delete all that you did
2) Create a new MySQL DB
3) upload the Rocket Launcher zip file (this file contains the Joomla core component and the demo content)
4) extract it on the server (if GoDaddy does not let you extract in the file manager then just upload the extracted/unzipped files.
5) browse to the URL to start the install process and make sure that you select the "Install Sample Data" button
VOILA!

1. on your step 5), what do you mean by browse to URL? Which URL are you referring to?
2. So, basically you are saying that don't use the application install options of Godaddy to install Joomal and the database. right? If so, I will do just that. I assumed the only way to install Joomal would be to install it through their app install.
2. Lastly, when you said godaddy is not the best option for Joomal, who would you suggest to make it easier to a joomla newbie like me. ?

on your steps:
1) the URL to your site (after completing the Rocket Launcher install) you know www.whatever.com
2) correct
3) (you have this listed as the 2nd 2.) I prefer HostGator for affordability and reliability but here are some other good ones ( SiteGround and Rochen ) stay away from 1and1

Thanks to your instruction, I got the site up and running .
I an new to joomla so , I am going to play around with it.
My site now looks just like the demo site. The only issue that I have is that none of the links on the home page or the even the ones on the menu do not work. Do I need to do something to make them work?

Yes, none of them work in them home page or even on the body of the home page.
here is the ( test. imagesysit. com ) page. You would have to take out the spaces .

When you turned on the SEF URLs did you rename the htaccess.txt file as the new .htaccess file, replacing the empty one that is probably there?
