Spam is running up my bandwidth by 7gb in 2 days...Help!

Hi,
I had this problem in April, but after doing a total new install of J17 along with making as many Joomla security measures possible all was fine up until now...
My Bandwidth is showing 7gb of use over the weekend.
Looking at cpanel it shows as pop emails, but I have not received loads of spam emails.
When looking at latest visitors, each image or js file is shown? is this right?
Has anyone experience with this type of spam?
Desperate for help....

If you want to reduce the amount of bandwidth your email is using, maybe look at using Google Apps to manage your domain specific email. This will mean that you can still use your custom email address (e.g. This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) without using all of your available bandwidth.
