Track Joomla Banner Ads with Google Analytics?

I've been doing research on this for awhile and haven't found a solution for it yet. Has anyone found a way to track outbound clicks on the native Joomla Banner Modules with Google Analytics? I've seen some examples of how to track outbound links but it doesn't work with the Joomla Banner Component.
