    Mission Control Quicklinks broken

Posted 12 years 8 months ago
    • Hello - I was adding some custom quick links in the mission control system template. Without thinking I used full urls and now it says 'Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in .../administrator/modules/mod_rokquicklinks/helper.php on line 39'

I'm assuming I just have to manually correct those entries but cannot find them ANYWHERE. Anyone help me on this one??

    • hi there,

not sure what you mean when saying you don't find them anywhere?
the settings are located under > extend > module manager > admin modules > quicklinks...

As you can see - when I go there the settings are all gone...so i figured that there was some config file somewhere I could manually edit the link url's that i'd entered to fix them. But can't find it anywhere.

    • hi again,

that looks like an incompatibility with another extension. did you install anything new before those options disappeared? not entirely sure right now where those links get saved, but most likely in the database itself and not in a file.

    • Nope - I was completely done the site and was walking the client through it all when I made the mistake and it happened. I did check the SQL database but didn't see anything...any help on where to find them would be HUGELY appreciated..

    • hi again,

open your database for example in phpmyadmin.
then click the 'search' tab and search all tables for the keyword 'quicklinks'.
you should get some results in the table jos_modules.
then open the search results and you should find the module listed there.
using the edit button, you can access the settings and modify the links in the 'params' field.

PLEASE make sure to backup your database first, that you can roll back if something goes wrong.

    • As a note for anyone else with this problem - or maybe this is considered a bug...it was the fact that I used an apostrophe in a link title..messed up the code.
