Cialis spam link inserted into site

Posted 13 years 2 weeks ago
    • Using a link checker, I found a link to a Cialis site was added into my page.

If you go to: http://mysite.com/news/news and do a FIND for cialis, you can see there's a hidden link in the bottom right corner of the page.

I assume this was some sort of SQL injection. That's an assumption. In any case, I can't find where this would be to remove it.

Can anyone advise what files would have this link in it?

      Thanks in advance

    • You need:
      1. to finish all the name-calling of the a$$-whole who did this to you.
      2. get some tea, wine, beer, comfort food or anything else that will calm you
      3. next read this -> Unhacking Your Site
      4. then go here and pick one of these -> http://alternativeto.net/software/powergrep/?license=opensource
      5. download your Apache access logs to help find the files that were compromised.
      6. Use the Search software to go through your site files and find the hacked files.
      7. Replace any corrupted files with the ones from your original installation set.

Once your site is clean again take a look at Akeeba's Admin Tools to help prevent this from happening again.
