Installed Joomla 2.5 on GoDaddy. I can add menu items, but I can't add article sections. I can access the screen but the system freezes when I try to add an article section. Using the Fresco template.
I've installed dozen of Joomla installations, but I have never seen anything like this. Any ideas?
I took a look at your site. Some general findings:
Menu: You had a menu setup but with all alias, no articles assigned.
Articles: There were no articles created
Template Assignments: Only assigned to the Homepage
After assigning the menu items (even though they were just alias listings) everything began working, to some extent.
Modules: Only three modules show. I assigned them to the correct positions.
Installed: RokGallery and RokSprocket
Neither component works properly. I believe it is because of the database and upload size.
CHECK WITH YOUR HOST ON THE FOLLOWING
Warning: Database
Database schema version (None) does not match CMS version (2.5.6).
Warning: PHP Upload size bigger than post size
The value of the upload_max_filesize in the php.ini file is greater than the post_max_size variable. The post_max_size variable will take precedence here and block requests larger than it. This is generally a server misconfiguration when trying to increase upload sizes. Please increase the upload_max_filesize to at least match the post_max_size variable or vice versa
Just to add to Nanci's comments - the database was incorrect but at top right of screen is a button marked FIX. I actioned this and the database schema has been added.
With this corrected I was able to add a test RokSprocket Module which is shown on the News menu item.
In effect this site now appears to be working but until you get some content in and organised then we will only see the test items added already.
If this resolves your problem then please edit your first post in this thread by adding SOLVED at the start of the title and then select the green tick icon. This lets the moderators know that it can be moved to the solved section.
