Hi
I have Joomla 2.5.6 running on xampp on my local PC. I am wanting to install Rocket Launcher and some of the templates.
Firstly do I have to uninstall my copy of Joomla 2.5.6?
Or is there a way around it as it took me awhile installing Joomla 2.5.6 for the first time and getting it up and runnning.
If I have to uninstall Joomla I am wanting to know step by step in easy to understand steps how to uninstall Joomla 2.5.6 which i am running on xampp.
Do I need to uninstall anything else?
Could you please explain in step by step if i need to uninstall anything else.
Do I need to uninstall xampp and then reinstall it to run rocket launcher or can I leave xampp?
Is xampp the best one to use and is fully compatible with rocket launcher or do you suggest wamp or any others or just stick to xampp?
The RocketLauncher contains a completely new installation of Joomla, an RT template, and several extensions. It is not designed to add to an existing installation of Joomla. In other words you would have to remove what you have or just install it in separate directory.
There really isn't an option to uninstall Joomla, all you can do it delete (or move) it.

My Joomla 2.5.6 files are in C drive a file called xampp/htdocs/joomla256
All the files are in the Joomla 256 file so it does not effect my original joomla install.
Would it be OK not to delete these files but to put the extracted Zip files of the Ximenia Rocketlauncher into a new file ie C Drive/xampp/htdocs/Joomla
This way they would be in a different file but still contained within xampp/htdocs
Will this work?
PS Do I have to do anything to the xampp or will this take care of itself when I install rocket launcher
Yes, because /xampp/htdocs/Joomla is in a different location it should work fine. There isn't anything special you need to do really. Unzip the package, navigate to that folder in your browser, and go through the typical Joomla setup (remembering to install the Sample Data).
