Gantry error message in Edit User Profile screen.

Posted 12 years 8 months ago
    • Hi,

I have a J2.5.6 site with a Reflex template. I noticed that my Edit User Profile page has a Gantry error message. I attached a screenshot.

Can anyone tell me how to fix that?

      Thanks for any advice!

    • Update Gantry framework to the latest version and set error reporting in Joomla global config to the lowest level

    • Hi Igor,

As far as I know I have the latest Gantry update of 3.2.22 since I had updated it on August 3 in the site backend Extension Manager.

RokSprocket and RokBooster RT extensions are causing errors when I try to update them in Extension Manager (see attached screenshots).
Is that the cause of the problem?
How can I fix the error to update both the RokSprocket and RokBooster?

    • Hi Igor,

I checked the System Info screens:

Under Directory Permissions all are writable except for configuration.php is unwritable. Is that correct?

      Thanks.

    • Yes, but System info shows only root folders and Admin Tools checks ALL file and folders under Joomla root folder so please use it 8)

    • Hi Igor,

Where is Admin Tools? I don't see it in the site backend. Is it accessible via FTP or through hosting CPanel?

    • Admin Tools is third party extension which you have to download and install. Search JED for it 8)

    • Hi Igor,

Thank you once again for giving me excellent advice!! I found the Akeeba Admin Tools in the JED directory and I bought the Pro version. Looking through the documentation and features it seems like an excellent extension and something I wish I knew about a long time ago.

Is there a list anywhere with the best Joomla extensions? A list with the most useful and popular extensions that most Joomla sites could benefit from?

I don't like to use the JED extension directory since it has too many extensions that are old (for J1.5) or have bad code that creates problems in Joomla, that I don't bother with them unless there's one I have to install.

      Thanks.

    • I am sure you could find such list if you use Google search :cheesy:

If this resolves your problem then please edit your first post in this thread by adding [SOLVED] at the start of the title and then select the green tick icon. This lets the moderators know that it can be moved to the solved section.
