displaying unlinked articles without homepage modules
Posted 12 years 7 months ago
We have 100s of articles on our school website without menu links.
How can we display these unlinked articles without the homepage modules showing up (without adding hidden links to each one)? At the moment, when a user searches and finds this article (or clicks read more on the homepage), these unlinked articles show up on the homepage below all our modules (yuck). We want them to appear on their own page without all the homepage modules.
Tell me we don't have to add a hidden menu link to each one...

For the issue with the home page modules showing up when you click on links from the home page to content that does not have a menu item assigned I suggest going to
NoNumber.nl
installing Advanced Module Manager it has a feature to force modules to only appear on the home page and not show up after clicking on links from the home page.

Funny I was just talking about this over in the mosaic roksprocket forum. I just load the modules that should NOT load after click right in the article using loadposition.
As long as your layout on your home page is not too complicated OR you want most of the modules to be consistently available, it is a fast and simple solution.
See this thread.
