Need way to edit template LESS with backend Template Managr?

Since the Rocketthemes have started to use LESS to compile their CSS(an excellent decision) I have lost the ability to edit the CSS on the fly from the Joomla Back-end which previously could be done in the Template Details and Files or Template Manager: Customise Template where the template master files and stylesheets are available to open, edit and save.
When I add a CSS stylesheet to the css folder (i.e. public_html/templates/rt_graffito/css) it is automagically added to the styelsheets lists so Joomla is pulling these files dynamically. I could create a custom CSS to override any styles the LESS code compiles but I am familiar with this scripting language and would like to modify the LESS files directly without having to remote into the server every time I want to make a small tweak.
Can you help me modify the template or Joomla template admin so I can see the LESS files similar to stylesheets but in a separate fieldset in the Customise Template manager?
