  • Error 500 after choosing com_gantry in the backend menu.

    • As in the subject.
      Someone could tell me, why com_gantry in the backend menu leads to error page ?
      500 - An error has occurred.
      String could not be parsed as XML
      Return to Control Panel

      Joomla Version - 2.5.7
      Gantry Framework Version - v4.1.2
      PHP Version - 5.3.18

    • hi there,

      this entry in the components menu is not needed and in fact should not be there at all.
      we have seen it on some sites where the install of gantry had been not smooth for unknown reasons. you can just ignore that menu item or remove it via your database. as long as the template works as expected, there is nothing to worry about.

    • I just ran into this issue after running the auto-update for Gantry. This thread lead me to re-installing the latest version of Gantry, after which the "com_gantry" menu item disappeared.

    • Same here, I just reinstalled Gantry and the component issue resolved itself.
