Hi All,
I am newish to Joomla, I prefer a WYSIWYG editor and find Joomla hard work to start with. However I am determined to learn and get it right and understand it.
So I have Joomla installed via rocketlauncher with Metropolis template, I can see the images as blanked out, however can only see this version of the site if I navigate to https://mywebserver/metropolis-rocketlauncher_j25/
If I navigate to https://mywebserver/joomla/ I get my old effort which does not have any of the Metropolis content and is on a previous Joomla install I think - not sure
What I really want to do is from the template is to have my website start with the content UNDER the part where it says "load more / hold shift key to load all"
I like the section below this part and want my website to look like that, I don't want the boxes and content above. I hope I am making sense and this is easy to do.
Firstly though how do I get my home page to be the rocket launcher version and not my old effort?
FYI - I can access MyPHYadmin and MySQL fine with no problems, I have created a database (name of my website) and created a user that can access the database will all privileges.
Could someone help please as I am a bit stuck

Hi Dave - I am a bit confused by your post so I will just say what I did and maybe you can say if it is the same as the situation you are describing.
When I look at a template I
1. install the template with the demo data on my laptop so that I can go through the home page and make notes on each item of content:- what position it is set to and what was used to create it. BTW this site does not have any images as they dont give you the images with the download demo but I dont want them anyway.
2. install the template to another site (also on my laptop) which has no data. this just gives you a blank page which looks like the basic template without any content.
3. I have a list of content that needs to go on the site. I match each item to one of the types identified from the demo homepage and create it with the same settings as the demo but with my text and pictures.
4. That's it.
I assume you are at step 2 - with the template installed but nothing set up?
