    SOLVED Joomla Category Blog / Unexpected Dynamic URL

    • Hello !

      I have category blog urls auto created by joomla and also indexed in google. These url links are not normally in my sitemap and never created any links via menu or else.

      And because of this issue, my articles with certain Access Levels become reachable in the category blog url.

      Is there a way not to have these url ?!

      Searched in the joomla forum and there is no proper answer to that, there are certain things through seo by no, index, no follow etc.

      But, I'm looking for a way to avoid these urls to be created.

      If anyone has any idea, or exp. same issue, please help !

      P.S. Articles say that these blog url issue create duplicate content issue since there are lots of links going to the same content, and that it is bad for seo and it affects ranking negatively.
      And plus, these blog url bits can be added after any menu link url, and there becomes thousands of combinations.

    • Yes, you are right Reggie.

      There are joomla questions sometimes in the forum, and considering that there is no solution to the same thread in the joomla forum, I hoped that someone has an idea on this issue.

      And the answer to this thread seems to be; google will be dropping the unused dynamic urls in time.

      And category urls - according to some threads on the forums- are not the same with duplicate content. So, not a real worry.

      My main concern was on ACL content becoming reachable on dynamic url. I sorted out through category ACL.
