    2.5 Chapelco Install issues

Posted 11 years 10 months ago
    • This is my first site on a new server. The site was created on someone else's server and we were trying to port it. Since that failed, I thought I would install each element from scratch. I first tried installing the Chapelco RocketLauncher J25. It looked like it worked, but once I get past the install and choose either "site" or "administration" all I get is a blank white page.
I then installed Joomla 2.5.11 which succeeded. I attempted to install the Chapelco bundle which failed. I could install no plugins, templates, or modules. I gave all directories and files 777 permissions. All still failed. I made all owners and groups www. Still failed.

Along the way I did learn that the MySQL type should be MySQL and NOT MySQLi.

      Server Configuration:
Intel Mac, 2 GHz core 2 duo, 8 GB RAM, SSD drive

      Database Server:
      Server: Localhost via UNIX socket
      Software: MySQL
Software version: 5.6.10 - Source distribution
      Protocol version: 10
      User: XXXXX@localhost
      Server charset: UTF-8 Unicode (utf8)

      Web Server:
      Apache/2.4.3 (iTools 10.0.0/Mac OS X) PHP/5.4.12 OpenSSL/1.0.1c mod_fastcgi/2.4.6
Database client version: libmysql - 5.6.10
      PHP extension: mysql

I am grateful for any insight.

      thanks.

    • Try to increase memory_limit in your php.ini file to a higher value and also check your server error log. We really can't just guess what could be wrong 8)
