Thanks for all the great extensions and templates. They have been great to work with.
My only problem is my Bitnami install of Ubuntu, Apache, mySQL, PHP and Joomla that was installed on my Amazon EC2 instance. This setup has been miserable to work with from day 1. These aren't your problems, but I was hoping you might be able to give me some advice.
My main problem seems to be that the install uses apache2handler instead of the fastCGI that you recommend. I am also having ton of conflicts between who owns what within the system.
Since this is my own instance I need to make any changes to fix these issues. I have been looking for a good walkthrough on installing fastCGI, The fastCGI web pages seem to be half done or abandoned and google hasn't been as helpful as I had hoped. Could you direct me to any resource you would recomend that could help me out.
I can get around in Linux, but I am not terribly proficient. A dummy's guide to installing fastCGI would be extremely helpful.
I appreciate any help you can give.
Doug
