Various problems after new Rocketlauncher/Alerion install

Greetings.
I just installed the rocketlauncher for Alerion, and I'm having a few problems.
First, on the admin page, I get this error message:

I am new to Joomla, and I have no idea what that means.
Secondly, the layout of the home page is very strange. The "Your Ticket Here" box is all the way over on the right, on top of the Event Details heading. Also, an unusual background image seems to be on top of the header image with the city scape and the Space Needle event box. I'll try to include a screen shot.
