    • RT's standard recommendation is to turn off compression plug-ins / extensions while working on a site. I believe this is so Firebug (etc.) can see the css accurately.

I have one site mexitronica.com/mfe14/index.php/en/ that in order to see template or module setting changes (in the front end) I have to clear the cache (Site/Maintenance/Clear Cache) each time I change something. It's a Joomla 2.5.11 site using the Alerion v1.1 template. The site previously used the Fracture v1.3 template. It has exhibited this behavior with both templates enabled.

Other Joomla installations I have with other RT templates don't exhibit this behavior.

I have RokGZipper disabled. (RokBooster is not installed)

My general question: What are the plug-ins/extensions I should disable while developing a site?

My specific question: Is there any recommendation I can pursue that might allow me to see changes on this site without clearing the cache each time?

    • Make sure your host doesn't have and php cache enabled as that will cause odd behavior when developing.
