Google Analytics Asynchronous (Built-In Feature)?

Hi All - I'm new to RocketTheme and loving it.
A question:Does the GA code built into the Chapelco RocketTheme template load asyncronously (i.e. in the background, without delaying page load)?
The Joomla Asynchronous Google Analytics Plugin does (hence the name). If the built-in feature doesn't do that, I'd rather use the plugin; I expect low-bandwidth visitors, so every little bit helps. In this thread from a year ago people advocated for using built-in, but possibly only to reduce the number of plugins...

Its the current google analytics code that's used, so yes, you're all good to use the included feature and don't need the plugin.
The only thing that it does not include is the "Demographics" code that is new from Google and still Beta.
