Templates navigate to blank website

    • Hello, please help.

I have installed quite a number of the gantry templates, and each time, it is the same issue.
When i click on the link for my front end, i get navigated to a blank page, sometimes, and for some templates, this also happens for the back end.
I do not understand what the issue is as other templates including the default joomla templates and one from cloudbase all work.
I have also completely removed my joomla installation four times over, but it is the same issue every time.

I would greatly appreciate any helpful responses.

    • This is the link to my frontend. www.reconnecthdi.com/home

You would see that it is just a blank page.

I am currently using Corvus, but it is the same with other templates.

    • You need to bump up the php memory setting for your site. It is only set for 24mb.
      Try 128mb.

    • Sometimes your hoster will set this to a very low limit on shared hosting. If you have a control panel the site should have a php directives section - memory_limit directive.

If they give you access to the php.ini file for your site look for the memory_limit parameter in the php.ini file if they give you access to that otherwise your hoster will need to adjust this for you.

    • Thanks Joe.

It DOES seem to be a memory issue, but I have tried everything to bump up my memory, and the template still will not work.

On my own, I created a php.ini file and included the code
      memory_limit = 128M
I also included php_value memory_limit 128M ; in my .htaccess file, and nothing worked.

I spoke to my host provider, and they assure me that my memory limit is now 128M. But yet, the template still shows Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 25165824 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 296961 bytes) in...

I can get no further help form my host provider as they insist that my memory is 128M and that because gantry is a third party application they cannot determine any of its specification.
I have recently spent almost £100 to purchase new hosting with a different company and i am facing the same issue.

If you have any suggestions i would be grateful.

When that happens and you can't change those settings via php.ini or .htaccess then you have to contact your webhost so that they can fix the issue.

If that doesn't work then the issue might be caused by permission issues.
