    • User registration is inconsistent on our Joomla installation. We have it set so an Administrator needs to authorize a new user registration. For some users, account creation proceeds as expected: the administrator receives an email to activate a new account; upon activation the user receives an acknowledgement email. For others, nothing happens when they try to create a new account: administrator does not receive a activation email. I've checked the user list to to see if somehow the user self registered but they aren't in the list.
      Because the login/registration form provides no feedback to the user, they don't know if their request was submitted or not. And we don't know until they send us an email sometime afterwards.
      This inconsistency is frustrating for users and administrators alike and we can't figure out what's going on.
      We're using the Chapelco v1.3 template on Joomla 3.2.3. We haven't tried changing templates to see if that's where the problem is.
      Has anyone else encountered, and solved, this problem?
