SOLVED XML file did not load

  • SOLVED XML file did not load

    • Out of nowhere, when I attempt to edit my current template in the Template Manager I get the error "XML file did not load". I have no idea what this could have been caused by since I had not made any changes to the site the day I noticed the error.

      If it makes any difference, I am using Hadron with Joomla 3.0. I am a pretty novice user so the more detail on how to solve this the better.

    • Are you sure you didn't install a component or extension prior to this error appearing?
      Try clearing your back end caches and see if that helps.

    • I have not installed any mods recently (however I did install a new mod after I noticed the issue but I've never had issues with it before. I've used the same mod on previous sites). I tried deleting the cache and the error is still there...

      Are you using an .htaccess file?
      In the case that a file might have become corrupted, backup your site with a free copy of Akeeba backup , then download and install a fresh copy of the template.

    • That seemed to do the trick! For those with a similar issue, all I did was download the standalone template again and reinstall. Took care of the issue immediatly.
